I support Israel and the Jewish people.
I wish to donate online through the Christians Standing with Israel organization. How will my donation be used?
Online donations are routinely accepted and allocated for a variety of circumstances, situations in Israel including family tragedies, natural disasters, circumstances of war and terrorism to include bomb shelters. Bomb shelters in Israel are always needed, and the construction of new bomb shelters in Israel is critical. Donations are disbursed in conjunction with donor specifications and preferences, and can be allocated toward any of the following areas:
Victims of Terror:
No other country in the world can lay claim to the daily horror and anxiety routinely experienced by Israelis. Sadly, this has manifested itself in the form of tragedy. Loved ones -- fathers, mothers, children -- have been lost. Your donation will help Israeli victims of terror regain their footing in life, so that they may move forward in a positive direction. To make a donation helping Israeli victims of terror, click the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page and during the process, make the specification "For Israeli terror victims" in the special instructions section.
Bomb Shelters and Bomb Shelter Construction
The citizens of Israel, especially those residing in the south in cities such as Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Beersheva are under daily threat by rocket fire coming out of the Gaza Strip. When the rocket sirens sound, families flee their homes in a frenzy to find refuge in bomb shelters. Young children are routinely rushed out of the classrooms and into bomb shelters. The citizens in the north, in cities such as Haifa and Kiryat Shmona must routinely adopt the same routine as the threat of rocket fire from Lebanon and now Syria increases daily. Bomb shelter expansion and bomb shelter construction in Israel is a critical need. Your donation will help meet that need. To make a donation to help renovate, expand, and build new and existing bomb shelters in Israel, click the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page and during the process, make the specification "For bomb shelter construction" in the special instructions section. To get a better idea of what the citizens of Sderot experience on a daily basis, please watch the following video:
Victims of Gush Katif
In 2005, a bloc of 17 Israeli settlements in the southern Gaza Strip was completely dismantled by the Israel government as per Israel's agreement to evacuate Gaza. Nearly 9,000 Jewish people, in some cases, entire families, were evicted from their homes by the Israeli Defense Forces and left on their own to find residence elsewhere in Israel. Understandably so, many residents of Gush Katif resisted, and stood their ground. Photographs (an example featured below), now infamous, showed IDF soldiers weeping as they literally carried residents out of Gush Katif from a place they called home for years. Many of these families remain homeless to this day.
As expected, Gush Katif is now being used by Hamas as a military installation from which rockets are fired daily into Israel. The residents of Gush Katif are people in great need, and your donation will help. To make a donation helping the victims of Gush Katif, click the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page and during the process, make the specification "For Gush Katif victims in Israel" in the special instructions section.
Support an Israeli Soldier
You were probably aware that military service is a requirement for all 18-year old Israeli men and women in the Jewish State. Men are required to serve a minimum of 3 years, while women are required to serve 2 years. But what you may not know is that these brave young men and women are primarily dependent on their families for support during their military service. Soldiers serving in non-combat capacities are paid a mere 300 Shekels ($75 USD) per month, while combat soldiers earn a mere 600 Shekels per month (around $150 USD). As you can see, your donation would be most welcome. To make a donation supporting Israeli soldiers, click the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page and during the process, make the specification "For Israeli soldiers" in the special instructions section.
After the Holocaust ended in 1945, and more so in 1948, Jewish survivors fled the continued anti-Semitism in Europe and immigrated to the new sovereign state of Israel. As you could imagine, the process of rebuilding their lives proved to be a very daunting task. Today, many Holocaust survivors continue to struggle emotionally, medically, and financially. Consider making a donation to help those who have endured and continue to struggle what is undeniably the darkest period in recorded world history. To make a donation helping the survivors of the Holocaust, click the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page and during the process, make the specification "For Holocaust survivors" in the special instructions section.
